04 / 12 (trip) Enoree River Start: 10:00 am End: 4:00 pm Description: Update: Trip is still on Saturday. 40% chance of rain, scattered storms. I think there's a chance we might get a little shower sometime during the trip but I think it still looks good to paddle. Temp in 70s, river level is good. Make sure to bring rain gear just in case. Safety is always our highest concern. Contact Dennis with questions. Whitmire to Brazzleman Bridge, 10 miles, about 4-5 hour paddle, flat water. Very scenic this time of year with many blooming trees and plants along river. Report and photos from previous trip. This is fine trip for beginners. more info

Meeting room is to left as you come through front door Please attend for suggestions and volunteers for future trips from May to December. Meeting moved to this branch as its meeting room holds up to 50 whereas downtown only seats 20. Consider possible trips as follows: Landsford Canal, Augusta Canal, Natahala, Broad River from Harbison and from Diversion Dam, Lower Green, Capers Island, Saluda to radio towers, Chatooga II or III, Edisto, Tyger, Sparkleberry, and many more. Details more info (trip) Stumphole Swamp Start: 11:00 am End: 4:00 pm Description: This is a beautiful day trip on Lake Marion from Stump Hole landing, only about an hour and a half from Columbia. We'll have some open water to cross, but unless the wind is very bad it should not be a difficult 20 minute crossing to the trees. Once we're in the trees, the wind and current are not generally a problem. more info
