Description-We'll paddle a 6 to 8 mile section on either the North Fork Edisto or South Fork depending on the water levels. Both rivers are largely undeveloped and there are few houses. Plus most of the trip is under the tree canopy so we'll be out of the sun.

We'll meet at 9:00 AM in the McDonalds parking lot on Hwy 321 & I-26 to pick a section and head to a put in below North, SC.

This is a trip suited for paddlers with some experience in paddling small rivers with many turns and possibly more than a few portages around and over downed trees. Shorter kayaks and canoes are ideal but longer sea kayak style boats can be used.

Bring plenty of water and snacks for a few breaks along the way. Hand saws and pruners might also come in handy to clear away brush. As on all of our trips you are required to wear a properly fitting PFD and a whistle. It'll be a gorgeous trip on one of North America's longest black water rivers.
