Trip Coordinator-Geoffrey Chambers
Meet at 10:30AM at Santee National Wildlife Refuge Cuddo Unit
Plantation Islands Canoe Trail is a 7 mile loop through islands and shallow waters of Lake Marion. The trail starts from the Santee National Wildlife Refuge Cuddo Unit near Summerton, South Carolina. For more information, visit Info Link
We will meet at the canoe trail parking area at 10:30 AM with a goal of being on the water and underway by 11:00. Paddling time will be between 3 and 4 hours. There are options to shorten the trip depending on weather and group desires. Please bring a lunch and plan to raft up at about 12:00 to eat.
This trip will be suitable for all paddlers. You'll need to bring and wear a PFD with a whistle, sunscreen, water and a something to eat for a lunch break.
Contact Geoffrey Chambers if you have any questions and would like to join us on this trip.
