Palmetto Paddlers, Inc. is a canoe and kayak club based in Columbia, SC.

Its purposes are to:

1. encourage exploration, conservation and preservation of recreational waterways, forests, parks, and wildlife;
2. promote enjoyment and appreciation of wilderness cruising and whitewater sports; and
3. promote safety and proficiency in rescue/selfrescue techniques.

The club organizes both whitewater and flat water trips and sponsors training in paddling techniques, river safety and rescue. Club trips range from a few hours to overnight trips and are rated from novice to expert skill levels. Check our website for current newsletters, trip listings and to learn more about the club.

There are many benefits to being a Palmetto Paddler. Several outfitters/sports stores offer discounts to club members. Most important is the fellowship of other paddling enthusiasts.
