To All Members:

There will be a change of the meeting place to the Richland County Library at Assembly and Hampton Street, downtown Columbia in the Julius McKay Conference Room located on 2nd floor at right rear of building. This change is due to change in weather forecast - it may be in 40s and rainy. Please note the room has 12 chairs so come early, others will have to stand or sit on floor. Meeting should not last more than 45 min and we may break and go to Carolina Wings. Hope to get new members to get fresh input. This meeting is not just for volunteers to lead trips but also to get ideas as to what trips the group would like to paddle. If you can't attend, please e-mail me at Riverrunnersc@aol.com at any time to give me suggestions.

I would appreciate any volunteers for January trips ASAP. Due to season, low country flatwater or swamp trips are encouraged. Please call or e-mail me prior to the meeting with suggestions. As there a lot of new members, I encourage you to show up and give input as to what you want out of our club. Meetings are necessary but should not be the main focus of our energy. The meetings should be just a means to an end and that is enjoying every aspect of our rivers, lakes, and oceans. The new blood to the club should give us refreshing new ideas which we can all enjoy. Hope to see you all at the meeting.
