Make plans now to participate in Sea Island Rotary's Annual Hunting Island Adventure Biathlon. The race is held on beautiful Hunting Island State Park in Beaufort SC. It consists of a 5-6 mile kayak out of the Hunting Island Lagoon into Fripp Inlet, back and then a 4 1/2 mile absolutely beautiful trail run. Several categories include relays for the non runner/paddler, tandem (both people have to paddle a tandem and both have to run), and of course solo. The 1 pm start allows for easy travel time. Event has grown each year and participants rave about the event. This year the event will be held Saturday 3/1/08. You may register and receive further info on line at www.active.com.
