Lake Murray fun and fitness paddles
Hi everyone,
I try to make it out on the lake every day in the afternoon for a couple of hours, either putting in at the main boat ramp off of Hwy 6 or up at schull Island off of 378. Going around Schull Island is about 4 miles. Depending on the day I may just go back and forth across the dam which is about 4 miles or go up to Jim Spence Islands which is about 8 miles there and back. Pretty big open water out to those islands but would welcome company. Another good paddle is putting in at either Schull Island and going over to Dreher island State Park or a longer paddle would be either leaving from Dreher Island or Schull Island and paddling to the dam. If it is really windy and we have some good fetch it is also fun to stick around near the yacht club and practice rolling and maneuvering in bigger waves. so if anyone is looking for a spotter or just wants to go paddle sometime let me know.
Cold? Its not cold :)
