I was asked by someone to participate in the Winter Challenge race in Springfield, SC this Saturday, February 2nd at 10AM. However, I will not be able to participate. The race includes a flatwater paddle of approximately 6 miles as one leg of the race. The race is run in relay teams of three. There is a team that needs a paddler to compete in the race. Since I cannot participate, I offered to share the info to recruit someone to compete.

According to Jim Johnson, there would be no registration fees involved. The race is flatwater, and there are prizes and swag involved for race winners.
