Paddle away all of your troubles with a leisurely hour and half paddle on the Broad River Wednesday June 4th. We will paddle from the River Front Park at the top of the Columbia Canal to the Amphitheater take out on the Congaree River in downtown West Columbia. Although this is a short 3-mile paddle we should see several spots with the Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies and may even see a beaver or two. We'll also pass by the large eagles' nest located at the confluence of the Broad, Saluda and Congaree rivers. Since we will be paddling in several areas with small shoals and rapids everyone will be required to wear a helmet and PFD. This trip is safe for all experience levels and any type of boat that you don't mind hitting a few rocks with. I strongly recommend not paddling anything other that a plastic boat however.
