The trip has been canceled due to low water.

Note that the trip starting and ending points have been changed.

We will be paddling an approximately eight mile stretch of Turkey Creek through Sumter National Forest from County Highway S-19-68 / S-35-227 (Key Bridge) to the take out at State Highway 23 West. The nearest town to the take out is Modoc which is a few miles west. This trip is suitable for open canoes, whitewater and plastic sea kayaks. There are a few small class I shoals. We will meet at 11:00 AM at the put-in to set up a shuttle.
